THE 80% OF SLIGHT ALZHEIMER CASES ARE
NOT DIAGNOSED
SCIENTIFIC SCOPE
This is the
title of a recent news that I’ve found in the digital newspaper “La vanguardia”
the 21st of September 2016. This news talks about a typical disease,
so we can considerate this as a “MEDICAL”
science news.
This
is the link where I’ve found it http://www.lavanguardia.com/vida/20160921/41468161280/80-casos-alzheimer-no-diagnosticado.html
SUMMARY
This article
talks about Alzheimer, but it’s not about what it is, how to treat the disease
or its consequences. It talks about the Alzheimer in Spain, why there are so
many cases here, about some experiments that different Universities have done
to demonstrate that there are some habits that can prevent this disease and, of
course, there is a section that report as about the importance of the caregiver
of an Alzheimer sick person.
COMENTARY
This article has been written by the fact that the last 20th of September of 2016 toke place the International Alzheimer day and Alberto Villarejo one of the most important member of the SEN was interviewed in a conference of this disease.
I think that's an interesting thing because nowadays, everybody knows someone who is sick for Alzheimer and sometimes people who has the disease treat to hide this because they feel embarased on the situation,. We have to take concience that the best way to slow down its consequences (because stop them it's not possible yet) is knowing as early as possible that the person has this problem.
As the article says: Even we are one of the most affected country, -“there aren’t so much economic founds destined to the fight againstthis”- that’s what Alberto Villarejo, a member of the SEN said. That's a problem that brings me to questioned if all the money of the country is destinated to important things or not... It's true that Spain is one of the country that more cases of Alzheimer has, but because of this, we should destinate more money to treat to investigate about it, but maybe, that's a thing that politics of nowadays don't priorate.
In conclusion, this article teaches us that science makes possible the fight against the diseases, in this case Alzheimer, but it could be easer if more money was destinated to this investigations.
