Parapsychology

                           Parapsychology

It is the discipline that is dedicated to the analysis of paranormal phenomena. Its field of study are those events that can not be explained by psychology nor by the rest of the traditional sciences.
It can be described as a pseudoscience, since it does not use a scientific method.
It is divided into several branches:

  • Clairvoyance, which is considered to be the ability of some people to perceive something that is hidden from the rest.
  • Telepathy, which consists of reading the mind of another individual.
  • Telekinesis, consisting in moving any object simply with the force of the mind.
  • Reincarnation, apparitions, that is, the existence of ghosts.

I have decided to do the analysis of this pseudoscience through this world-famous example, Nina Kulagina, this Russian psychic with only 14 years and showed a range of powers, such as telekinesis, the ability to move objects. She claimed that she was always aware when she used her psychic powers, there are stories that say that she had the ability to see what people had in their pockets and that when she knew people who were sick, she could tell what illness that person was suffering.
She explained that she might be able to come to terms with it, since apparently her mother had also had psychic powers
Several experiments were done with Nina's ability to move objects with her mind, such as putting a plastic box to avoid the use of imams. In one of the experiments were 40 scientists studying the woman and considered the powers as true, since it consisted of breaking an egg in a tank full of water and she was able to separate the yolk from the white and move it to the ends of the The sensors attached to his body showed that his body temperature and heart rate had increased, as well as the intensity of his brain waves.

So on the one hand we can call it science but otherwise not.
